Kit Sponsor's Lunch 2010

Kit Sponsor’s Lunch. Punjabi Wolves attended the annual Kit Sponsor’s Lunch at Molineux on 08/03/2010 and met our sponsored player this season Ronald Zubar, who has settled down very well at Wolves and grown in stature with every passing game. Unlike in previous years the lunch is held at the training ground ni Compton, but this year, due to the large number of people attending, it was held at Molineux. All sponsors and guests of Wolves were ushered pitch side where Mick McCarthy and Terry Connor conducted a training session with the first team. Then it was off to the International Suite for pre lunch drinks and as Punjabi Wolves were enjoying a few drinks in came Liverpool & England legend Alan Kennedy, who was the after dinner guest speaker, and was very down to earth and was more than happy to chat away with us. Soon after the first team joined us all to sign autographs and take pictures. Now time for the meal and as we entered the main room Zubar was already seated at our table along with Kevin Foley and Tony Daley. We must say that Zubar was very friendly and chatty, which is pleasing, and commanded a very good English vocabulary seeing that he only started speaking English when he came to Wolves! Our compere for the afternoon was Bob Hall who also compered the 2009 ‘End of Season’ lunch. Punjabi Wolves were presented with a home and away signed Zubar shirts and we duly presented Zubar with a Punjabi Wolves tee-shirt, unsigned! We managed to mingle with the players and coaching staff after the lunch, but it all seemed rushed and not as intimate and relaxing as the past years!
