What an awful display! This was one of the worst Wolves performances witnessed for a long time. Our lads were just not up to it, they didn’t seem bothered, and in a few cases, they didn’t seem capable! What did Munjanji Bia do? He didn’t run, pass, shoot, anticipate, challenge, take throw-ins…nothing – which scout recommended him? Why didn’t the other Belgian start?

A full-back (yes, that is correct) who last scored about 4 years ago gets the ‘perfect’ hat-trick against us. A team, a division below us, in administration and who sold their best player yesterday turn us over big time. They had more possession, more efforts and looked most likely to succeed. We were rubbish!

In the first game we conceded after 2 minutes from a corner, and yep you guessed it, their first goal came from yet another corner! Why can’t we defend corners? McCarthy was a defender, is it so hard for him to teach then how to defend a corner!?!

Their 2nd and 3rd goals came from goal kicks from their keeper. For the first, they won the first ball, and then the second ball, and with the third touch it was in the back of the net! For the 3rd, they won the first ball and with the 2nd touch it was a hat-trick! 

Henry got a goal for us in the 90th minute, his first for 2 years, but too little too late. We rested Jarvis and Doyle, but other than that, this was a strong Wolves team!

We didn’t sign anybody in the transfer window, and no matter what Jez Moxey or anybody else at Wolves says, we are looking to ‘stay up on the cheap’. We are not prepared to pay to get quality players in to get us out of relegation trouble, and let’s hope this doesn’t haunt us at the end of the season. We keep playing Mancienne (because we are financially rewarded by Chelsea for doing so) – but as I have been saying for a long time, and Robbie Earle in the studio agreed with me – he is disappointing and just not good enough. Also, as Punjabi Wolf also keeps saying, you cannot play Jones, Henry and Milijas in the centre of midfield – yet this is what we keep on doing – why can’t MM and TC see this? 

As Robbie Earle said, winning games breeds confidence and keeps morale up. Where does this defeat leave us? We have a West Midlands derby against the blue noses on Sunday – again on TV, and if we play half as bad as today, then we can kiss this Premier League malarkey goodbye. Hull got a home draw against Chelsea – are we capable of achieving anything of the ilk? Are there 3 teams worse than us in the Premier League? On this performance, there aren’t 3 teams worse than us in the Championship, but this is football and we are Wolves….
